EK Powe's newest asset is the Peace Garden. It is a lovely niche in the school. At the beginning of the school year, it was dedicated in loving memory of Sandi Graham and Kathy Travers, two incredible teachers whom many people at EK Powe had known personally. These women were not only profound teachers, but were environmentalists as well. They greatly supported outdoor hands on learning. This garden was created because Sandi and Kathy would have wanted it to be there. And its not just there, it is used and cared for constantly by children of EK Powe, whose teachers continue the works of Sandi and Kathy by using the garden as a learning environment. It is a place teacher and students and parents love to be with each other.
